Could the facility tech vehicle be a Sprinter Van? Mercedes-Benz manufacutres these in Dusseldorf, Germany. The vehicles are then partially disassembled then reassembled in South Carolina to avoid the “chicken tax.” The same vehicle has been marketed under the Dodge and Freightliner (a subsidiary of Diamler AG) labeles since its introduction to the United States.

I think West University Place’s decision to purchase was a wise one. The turbocharged diesel engine is supposed to be durable and economical. The design of the cabin, which allows an adult to walk upright through the cargo area, will be much appreciated by those who use this vehicle.

I guess it is a sign of the times that prestigious Mercedes-Benz competes with middle-of-the-road Dodge when it comes to pricing for commercial vehicles.

Clearly, the First Amendment should prevail in this instance. If the height of one’s hedges isn’t expression, then I don’t know what is. Glad to see you on the side of free speech on this one!

It’s good to see your continuing growth from First Amendment Absolutist to statesman who considers many aspects of the public interest when determining public policy.

Whenever people worry about government overreach in terms of the explosion of passage of nearly unenforceable laws, I just like to tell them to think of the children! ;)

The mayor is well ententioned. But his focus appears to be misguided: Mayor Kelly wants to send a message to the people in Austin. I want to protect the interests of the residents of West University Place. His proposal is too risky and the cost is too great.

I do like traditional styling. But I am also a property rights guy and think people should have wide latitude to build what they want on their property.

Time, place and manner. I am still a first amendment guy. I just don’t think the time to express yourself is while you are driving a car down the street.
